The first part of our new series “Private Listening” is by our dear friend Daniel Garcia. With “Alas”, the Spanish word for “wings”, Daniel lets us dive deep into his musical world for 60 minutes with a well-tempered mix of hazy downtempo and longing ambient electronica.

“Private Listening” is a new format through which we would like to offer a non-digital platform to befriended musicians, artists and companions to tell a thematically anchored, musical story over the length of two cassette sides.
The selections and mixes to be be released on these audiotapes are exclusive to the medium and will deliberately not take place on digital platforms. Much more than the resulting exclusivity, it is the aspects of deceleration and timelessness that led us to this decision. Limited to only 20 cassettes, these are enthusiasts‘ objects whose musical content is to be enjoyed with attentiveness and in a dedicated physical engagement with the medium.
